- “ over the years I have learnt that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it”
A dress imparts very little to the person. Actually it is a person who gives significance and importance to the dress. Many a times, we have seen that a popular film star wears a designer shirt or skirt. In no time that particular stitching or cut becomes the “in” thing. Star football players of many countries have peculiar hairstyles. Just as the world cup tournament is over we find the city teeming with budding Ronaldo’s and Maradona’s. This shows that it is the person who decides the fashion – fashion do not make up the person.
- “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak”
Style is a person’s signature. We admire the hairstyle of a footballer or the dress of a film star. We admire the styles because we associate the persons with the styles. The style speaks for the persons – it represents the persons. On a broader scale, we feel fascinated by the writing style of an author. We can readily identify the author just by reading a single paragraph written by him. We can identify a master painter by his stroke of brush.
- “ Whoever said that money can’t buy happiness, simply didn’t know where to go shopping”
Money can buy all earthly pleasures. Earthly pleasure can make a person happy by making him denounce all other things. If I can shop to my heart’s desire, I surely can purchase all the earthly pleasure to make myself happy.
- “ I’m a very down to earth person, but it is my job to make that Earth more pleasant”
I live on thin Earth and so the earth is dear to me. But there is no need to accept the earth as it is. I can definitely improve the habitability of the earth. There is no harm if I make the Earth a better place or a more pleasant place to live in.
- “ Fashion is a mask – style a beauty”
This is a famous quote of Tagore. Fashion is followed by multitudes of people. It is a dress of a huge mass. In a battalion of soldiers in uniform or in the procession of masked figures in a Halloween party, individuality of a person is lost. Fashion lies in copying one another. But style speaks about the true identity of the person. As a truth, it is always beautiful.
- “ You’re never fully dressed without a smile”
Smile is the best token of friendship. A smiling face wins all obstacles. Man being a social animal, he has to keep his social commitments almost always. He will never be accepted by anyone if he wears an irritable expression on his face. Even his best attire will serve no purpose. Such is the power of smile.
- “ I don’t design clothes comma I design dreams”
Clothes are not just garments that you wear to show the world. It’s something way more deep. A girl, since childhood has only dream of her wedding dress. Now, when she has matured into adulthood, all she wants is for a dreams to be fulfilled. Her dress, won’t just be a pretty garment with a price tag. This very dress will fulfill years of her anticipation, hopes and dreams. Wearing the clothes, that is father bought, the happiness a little boy feels is something that fills our hearts with joy. It’s a dream come true, not only for the boy but for the father as well. Clothes, not only cover you up, but give Wings to your dreams.
- “ I always find beauty in things that are odd and imperfect, they are much more interesting”
Every little thing in this world is an imperfection. Even the moon, which is considered to be the epitome of beauty, is full of flaws. But, it’s the flaws that make it all the more mesmerizing. You will admire a girl who is flawlessly beautiful, but only from a distance. You’ll be entranced by her grace, her gait and her other worldly features. But, a natural beauty, very much filled with flaws, will be like a breath of fresh air. Her features, though imperfect, will be comfortingly familiar. A perfect face is an open book, a flawed one is a story waiting to be unfolded.
- “Fashion you can buy, style you possess”
Fashionable dress and fashionable shoes and all other fashionable articles are manufactured and marketed everywhere. There are many fashion designers. In this age of technology, copying something mechanically, is as easy as anything. So, fashion can be purchased everywhere. But style comes from within. It reflects one’s character, attitude and values. Style is someone’s stamp – it is someone’s possession.
- “ My fashion secret is – simple is better…less is more”
Simplicity is the keyword of dressing. Address or makeup does nothing other than bring out the inner beauty of the person. But a to flamboyantly designed dress will veil the personality itself. Likewise, a heavy makeup will cover the person and make only the fashion conspicuous. So, one has to dress up judiciously and stylishly. So, if a person is a teacher, there is no harm if he or she looks like a teacher. It will be funny if all persons pursue the same fashion and all look alike. The more you put on, the more you run the risk of shielding yourself. Dress overtly if you must but do not put too much or too many. You won’t be found in your dress.
