The search for new things never ends; creative minds are always in search of something or another. If the things wouldn’t have bothered people, there wouldn’t have been any inventions in the world. If the stone age people would not have discovered that two rocks when rubbed together generate a spark, the discovery of fire would have never taken place. People are researching and experimenting with something every now and then. Such research has lead to some amazing inventions like the mobile phones, cars, television, etc.

There are some people who come up with some interesting and unique inventions. One such invention was done by “Sharad Haksar”. You might have heard this name in the field of photography or even you might have seen this name on the portraits of different models. Well, yes, Mr. Haksar is a professional advertising and fashion photographer by profession.

Sharad Haksar specializes in many genres of photography, which makes him a versatile photographer. He is the only Asian to achieve a Gold, Silver, 2 Bronzes and 21 honorable mentions at the prestigious IPA Awards. Also, he is a  Cannes Silver Lion winner and a D&AD nominee. In 2005, he was selected as the Top 10 lensmen in the world by Popular Photography.

He has also been awarded many Regional, National and International awards.

You might have seen a normal calendar or a digital calendar. The creative photographer, Sharad Haksar went out of the box and made an amazing and unique invention in 2008. He came up with the ‘World’s first camera lens calendar’. We are pretty sure that people had these ideas in mind but, Sharad put his ideas into implementation.

The idea that hit the mind of the inventor was that his clients received a lot of calendars as corporate gifts, so why not try something new that beat them all. And create something that the clients have never seen before. The only objective of this Lens Calendar was to expose and strengthen the creativity of the photographer, Sharad Haksar to the world.

The photographer wanted to give the calendar, a touch of his profession i.e. photography. Something that is the most visible sign of a photographer. So, he involved the camera lens in the process. The teams used the shutter speed, aperture, and focus rings to cue the year, month and date. The unique thing about the calendar is that it is sculpted using just one block of aluminum.

The camera lens calendar displays dates from the year 2008 to 2032. The weight of the calendar is above 4Kgs. The lens specifications are as follows: 5.5 in x 8.8 in / 140mm x 225mm, Weight: 149.91 oz. / 4250g. And the outer box with lens specification are as follows: 13.4 in x 9.3 in x 9.6 in / 340mm x 235mm x 245mm, Weight: 255.73 oz. / 7250g.

You might have seen this in many gift shops. This is the best gift to give when the question arises “what to gift somebody who already has everything?”. There have been many transformations in this camera lens calendar. Now, the camera lens comes with a digital calendar and a digital clock. You can also buy the digital camera lens calendar online on sites like Snapdeal or Amazon.
